FUNDRAISING LIST ENRICHMENT AND ANALYSIS
Two Tech for Campaigns teams enriched an existing list of supporters with donor history and built a predictive model to identify and prioritize which supporters were likely still able to give in the last months of the campaign.
Stacey Abrams ran for Georgia governor in 2018 and was the first black female majority-party gubernatorial nominee in United States history. Ms. Abrams, a lawyer who served as the Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives from 2011 to 2017, earned a BA from Spelman College, a masters degree from University of Texas, and a law degree from Yale Law School. During her historic run for Governor, she was endorsed by a number of high-profile politicians, including Barack Obama.
The Abrams campaign's finance team was looking to better understand how to reach out to different supporters, reduce the manual effort required to research donors on a huge and growing list, and prioritize donors using a programmatic, data-driven approach.
"I found working with the TFC team on this project to be really engaging and rewarding. And the Abrams campaign was amazing. They helped us see the connection between our work and tangible results on the campaign in a way that was really inspiring."
Two Tech for Campaigns teams enriched an existing list of supporters with donor history and built a predictive model to identify and prioritize which supporters were likely still able to give in the last months of the campaign. In addition, they examined data to find trends and insights so that the campaign could better understand who their supporters were and target new people in a more analytical way.
Tech for Campaigns teams segmented the Abrams campaign's supporters in a brand new way, allowing her finance team to more effectively prioritize their resources. This was especially important in the run up to the election where time was a scarce resource. The teams also delivered a post campaign report that analyzed and segmented donors from throughout the campaign -- work that Ms. Abrams and her team can use beyond 2018.
"This was my best experience working with a tech company because of the collaboration between us and your team to ensure our priorities were clear and your team’s ability to deliver multiple products/resources to us all at once."
