Fundraising Associate

Tech for Campaigns (TFC) is looking for a Fundraising Associate to join our team and support the growth of our grassroots, institutional, and major donor fundraising programs. We’re looking for a passionate, early-career professional excited to join a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead prospecting efforts to identify high potential leads and likely-to-convert warm leads
  • Leverage CRM and sales tools, such as Hubspot, to identify who within the existing database are strong potential donors new to TFC’s network
  • Leverage other data sources to identify new leads and warm prospects not already in TFC’s database
  • Prepare briefing documents, meeting materials and summarize call notes
  • Lead fundraising efforts for select grassroots and smaller mid-level givers including:
  • Identifying, engaging and converting new donors to TFC’s community
  • Re-engaging and re-committing existing / lapsed donors
  • Email outreach and campaigns 
  • Develop detailed financial projections and outreach plan
  • Plan and execute virtual and in-person fundraising events - including drafting communication, working with hosts, securing speakers and increasing visibility
  • Identify initiatives to develop core programs for various giving capacity tiers, e.g. giving circles for mid-level donors, campaigns for grassroots donors including email fundraising, etc.

This position will be fully remote but may require some travel to fundraising meetings and events.

Qualifications

  • 2-4+ years of experience in fundraising, sales or marketing
  • Incredible organization and analytical skills - with the ability to develop clear trackers via spreadsheet, leverage tools like Airtable. 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - including email writing and presentation
  • Strong attention to detail- you know the little things matter and you make sure the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed.
  • Deep understanding of financial projections and planning - you love a spreadsheet
  • Passion for research
  • Ability to successfully balance priorities while managing multiple tasks and planning big events
  • Competence with donor management/CRM systems
  • Innate curiosity - you like to figure things out on your own and are resourceful in doing so
  • Passion for the cause - you not only want to make an impact on electoral outcomes, but also agree we need tech and digital to do it.
