IMPACT

One of TFC's most frequent requests from candidates is for help on social media. What are best practices for down-ballot candidates running digital campaigns—both paid and unpaid? This is our chance to formalize our learnings thus far and develop a "playbook" that will guide future teams working on social-media projects.

We need a shared toolkit to provide quality, consistency, efficiency, and expediency. The team on this project will be responsible for setting the standard that TFC will rely upon going forward. 


PROJECT

This project will focus on gathering and sharing best practices. You'll talk to teams that have already completed projects for candidates, as well as explore the incremental tools and strategies at our disposal. Ultimately, you'll organize your insights into an intuitive, user-friendly playbook. Deliverables will include:

  • Strategy guides, with versions for both candidates launching new digital presences, and those who have existing channels
  • Data analysis resources for conducting account audits and monitoring impact
  • A rundown of relevant social media management and analytics tools
  • Sample content calendars and deck templates
  • Any other resources that your team develops to arm Democratic candidates for success.

This is your opportunity to equip future TFC teams with a powerful foundation for their own projects. By extension, your work will give future candidates the social-media expertise they'll need to make informed decisions and pursue winning strategies.


The need

  • A Social Media Specialist and a Growth Marketer to synthesize existing learnings and identity high-potential strategies.

  • An Analytics Guru to help evaluate the performance of campaigns to date and establish KPIs for future teams.

  • A Visual Designer with experience in infographics and data presentation to package up our playbook in an engaging, informative fashion.

  • A Team Lead who's excited to put his or her mark on this critical component of our shared work.

TIME

The project will last 3 weeks, and involve ~ 5 hours of volunteer time / week
