Graphic Designer (through end of 2019)

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated creative who is looking to help top-tier Democratic campaigns win this November in 2019’s Virginia elections. This is a unique opportunity to shape the American political landscape by contributing directly to ballot-box outcomes in a key state before the 2020 cycle. The person successful in this role will be a skilled visual (and verbal) communicator, a self-starter, and hungry to do things differently.

What You'll Do

  • Conceive of and execute effective, attention-grabbing advertising creative that will help Democrats win in 2019. The creative will drive political awareness, persuasion, and get out the vote campaigns across Facebook, Google, and other channels, motivating voters to act and get out to the ballot box. 

  • Communicate design and messaging ideas to internal TFC staff and campaigns, staying organized while managing multiple projects under deadline.

  • Integrate and ideate on new ideas based on data provided by the TFC team to continually improve and heighten the effectiveness of our messaging; monitor high quality output and consistency for each campaign.

Who You Are

  • 3-4 years experience in graphic design, especially in an advertising or branding context

  • A passion for storytelling and Democratic politics

  • Excellent understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch or Figma

  • Basic understanding of video editing is a nice-to-have

  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Illustration or equivalent experience


This a full-time contract position through the end of 2019, either on-site in San Francisco or remote.
