About Tech for Campaigns

Tech for Campaigns is looking for a Head of Fundraising to lead efforts to grow our community of volunteers and supporters.

At TFC, we fight for democratic values using advanced digital marketing and data techniques, powered by lasting technology infrastructure, to propel Democrats to win at scale.

Our efforts are substantially, but not exclusively, focused on Democratic state parties and state legislatures working in swing districts. The candidates elected in these state and local races are responsible for the great majority of legislation that affects most Americans’ daily lives and yet consistently operate with small budgets and over-allocate to expensive, traditional media. TFC gives them access to a caliber of digital talent typically unavailable to them, providing a competitive edge. At the same time, we offer tech workers an opportunity to volunteer their skills in a meaningful and impactful way and turn political passion into hands-on involvement.

TFC has 2 programs:

  • Digital Voter Turnout (IE), a digital-only early voting signup and chase program, which works to mobilize younger, more diverse voters in swing states using digital best practices to find net new Democrats. Our program has had immense measurable impact and especially at turning out younger, non-white voters.
  • Campaign Services acts as the digital marketing arm (website, digital ads, email, SMS) for state-level candidates by activating a volunteer base of 17,000+ from best-in-class digital companies like Google, Meta, Apple, Amazon, etc. In 2022, TFC helped flip 3 state legislative chambers in MI, MN, and PA along with key wins in WI, NV, AZ, AK working with candidates such as Kristen McDonald Rivet, Veronica Klinefelt and Jennifer Conlin

To date, TFC has worked in key swing states with 600+ state campaigns on 1K+ digital projects and turned out 500K+ voters. You can read more about our 2022 impact here. We're also making key investments to take our 6+ years of learnings from hundreds of campaigns and thousands of voters to develop best practices as part of our proprietary Learning Engine for 2024.

To achieve our goals, TFC operates around a core set of 5 values.

  • Be A Partner: Act as a collaborator, not a vendor, to our volunteers, political orgs, tech partners and each other
  • Be Resourceful: Be scrappy and don’t take ”no” at face value, ask “why?” and try different ways in; be open to learning / trying new things
  • Be Imaginative: Get ideas from anywhere and everywhere, be willing to test
  • Be Action Oriented: Have a bias to act instead of postulate or theorize and focus on objectives, results and measurement
  • Be Transparent: Be clear and provide as much visibility as possible and share to learn
